Sleeves
A funded slice of your capital running one method.
Desks rarely run capital as one undifferentiated pile — they split it into sleeves, each with a strategy, its own budget, and its own results. That separation is what makes performance legible: you can see what each thesis earns, not just the blended total.
In Quantreno a sleeve is the main thing you create and track: one thesis, one style, one budget drawn from your mandate's capital — usually minted as your own copy of a program. New accounts start with a few starter sleeves at $0 — presets you can fund, reshape, or delete like any sleeve you'd create yourself.
Funding is the activation step, and every dollar is your explicit choice: an unfunded sleeve can research and draft proposals, but nothing places until you give it a budget.
The words on this page
- Sleeve
- A funded slice of your capital running one style — its thesis, budget, and risk target.

- Budget
- The maximum this sleeve can deploy — a cap enforced at placement.
- The capital committed to a sleeve and the most it can deploy: baskets are sized against it, and an open that would take the sleeve past it is refused with the figures. Closes and cancels are never blocked by the cap.
- Fund
- Set a sleeve's budget — the money commitment that activates it. You choose every dollar.
