Before any trade, someone should do the homework — read the news, check the prices, ask “what am I missing?” Quantreno Research is that someone: an AI researcher that must show its sources, has a spending limit, and has no way to trade.

What it actually does

The same things a careful person would do — with three rules a person might break.

It keeps its reports fresh

It re-checks every idea on the list regularly, and every report shows the date it was researched. When a report gets old, it's clearly labeled as out-of-date — you never mistake stale research for fresh.

It follows the story

One answer leads to the next question — the way real research works. It reads the news and social chatter, checks prediction-market odds, and looks at stock prices and their recent history.

It keeps receipts

Every single thing it looks at goes into a log: the question, the source, the answer, the cost. Its reports link their sources. If a claim can't be traced to a source, it doesn't get published.

One research run, step by step

Say the list has an idea about big economic announcements — the kind of day where one number moves everything. Here's the researcher working that idea, from first question to finished report.

  • It starts with the obvious question. The idea is about announcement days. So: what does everyone expect this announcement to say?
  • Each answer points to the next question. Forecasters lean strongly one way. Next question: do the prediction markets agree? They don't — the same outcome is priced much lower there. Now there's a gap worth explaining.
  • It has to stop. Every run has a limit on how many things it can look up and how much it can spend. When it hits the limit, it has to write — no endless scrolling.
  • It writes the report and dates it. What's happening, why it might matter, what the crowd might be missing — and the links it stands on, with the research date right at the top.

Why the researcher can't hurt you

It holds no account, sees no balances, and has no way to place an order — the one who researches is never the one who trades. Its research spending is capped. Everything it looks at is logged. And when it thinks the list of ideas should change — something added, something retired — it can only suggest: someone on our team reviews and approves every change before you ever see it.
