Terms of Service

Last updated July 18, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Quantreno. They say what the service is (and is not), who can use it, and what each side is responsible for. By creating an account or using Quantreno, you agree to them.

1. What Quantreno is — and is not

Quantreno is a software tool, operated by AutEng, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"). An AI agent researches markets, writes briefs with sources attached, and drafts trade proposals against budgets and limits you set. Nothing is bought or sold until you approve it: every order requires your explicit yes, and the risk limits you set are checked at the moment of placement.

Quantreno is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or exchange, and nothing in the service is investment, legal, or tax advice. The themes, briefs, and proposals are ready-made, rules-based ideas offered to everyone — they are never personalized to your financial situation, and they are not an endorsement or a solicitation to buy or sell any security or contract. You alone decide what to trade.

Quantreno never takes custody of your money or positions. Your funds and holdings stay in your own accounts at the trading venues you connect (for example Kalshi or Alpaca), under your agreements with those venues.

2. Who can use Quantreno

You must be at least 18 years old, able to form a binding contract, and legally permitted to use the connected trading venues where you live. During the beta, access is by invitation and may be changed or withdrawn at any time. You are responsible for making sure your use of Quantreno and of each connected venue is lawful where you are.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in credentials secret and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. One account is for one person — do not share it or use someone else's.

4. Your connected trading accounts

You connect a trading venue by supplying API credentials that you generate at that venue. Those credentials are stored encrypted and are used only to read your account data and to place, monitor, or cancel the orders you approve. You can revoke a venue's credentials at any time, at the venue or in Quantreno.

Your relationship with each venue — including fees, margin, contract rules, and settlement — is governed by that venue's own terms, not by these. Quantreno is not responsible for a venue's availability, execution quality, fees, or decisions about your account.

5. Paper and live trading

Paper mode uses simulated money on a paper account. Paper fills are simulated: live executions can differ in price, speed, and whether they happen at all. Results in paper mode — like all past results — do not guarantee or predict live results.

6. AI-generated content

Briefs, research, proposals, and chat responses are generated by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and markets move after they are written. Sources are attached so you can check the work — do that before you rely on it. You are responsible for every trading decision, including decisions informed by AI output.

7. Risk

Trading involves risk of loss. Prediction-market contracts can expire worthless and stocks can fall — you can lose the full amount you commit. Some positions can lose morethan you commit: a short sale loses money as the price rises, with no upper limit, and borrow fees and margin requirements add to the cost. A sleeve's budget caps what a proposal commits at the moment it is placed — it is not a cap on what an open position can go on to lose. Displayed prices, fees, and estimates may differ from what you actually get. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

8. Fees

The beta is free to use. If paid plans launch, we will post the pricing and update these terms with reasonable notice before anything is charged. Venue fees, exchange fees, and taxes are always separate and yours.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Quantreno for anything unlawful, including market manipulation or trading on information you may not lawfully use;
  • probe, overload, or disrupt the service, or access it by any automated means other than the interfaces we provide;
  • attempt to reverse engineer the service or extract its underlying models, prompts, or data;
  • use the service to violate a connected venue's rules; or
  • resell or sublicense the service without our agreement.

10. Your content and ours

You own your data — your account information, budgets, and trading history. You give us the limited license needed to operate the service on it. The service itself — its software, design, themes, and written content — belongs to Quantreno or its licensors. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation.

11. Third-party services

Quantreno depends on third parties: trading venues, market-data providers, AI model providers, and hosting infrastructure. We do not control them, and we are not liable for their outages, errors, or data. Where their terms apply to you (for example a venue's terms), those are between you and them.

12. Disclaimers

Quantreno is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its data, prices, or AI output are accurate or complete.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quantreno is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. To the same extent, our total liability for all claims is capped at the greater of one hundred US dollars ($100) or the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Quantreno at any time, and you can ask us to close your account by emailing the address in section 17. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these terms, for legal or security reasons, or when winding down the beta — where practical, with notice. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 10, 12, 13, and 16) survive termination.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced with reasonable notice. Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction.
